Peter Lamb was born in Robeson County, he and his wife, Rhoda had four children, they were:

2. Neil Lamb, b. 1852, d. 1924, married, Mary Ann Bullard
3. Lucy A. Lamb, b. 1854, d. ? married, Irvin Haynes
4. Stephen L.Lamb, b. 1856, d. 1942, married Edna Sellers

Peter Lamb served in the Civil War, as he enlisted at the age of 33 in New Hanover County on May 25,1863. Present or accounted for until December 2, 1863 when he was reported absent without leave. He returned to duty January 1864, present or accounted for until he was killed at Drewry's Bluff, Virgina on May 16, 1864.
